What to see in August

Summer is y-comen in,
Loude sing cuckoo!
Groweth seed and bloweth meed
And sping’th the woode now-
Sing cuckoo! - Anon.

August is greener than the preceding months, but the herbaceous border is always gay.  These peaceful sunny days are scented with an aromatic leaves and later flowering shrubs.

Why not come and cool off with your picnic under the trees by the ponds and watch the dragonflies and kingfishers.

Cold drinks, tea and cakes are available from the open barn
